Wasn't sure what to expect but Deanna's reviews led me to give her a try. I'm so glad I did. She's a real professional, listens and takes time to make sure you are happy with colors, shape and details of your makeup. I went in planning to have my eyebrows done and once I met Deanna and saw the pictures of her work I had her do my lips and eye liner too!

As others have mentioned she is excellent on her follow up. I just had my two month "touch up" visit. Deanna shines here as well. She's very detailed and dedicated to her clients. She is a true artist. Very patient and kind.

This is a painful process so be ready for it. The end result is worth it, I am so happy! It's wonderful to wakeup in the morning and have 99% of your makeup DONE! Going to the beach and the pool - makeup DONE!
Her prices are reasonable and comparable. I don't recommend trying to SKIMP to save a few dollars on permanent makeup.

So I have learned my lesson with Permanent make up.....do your research. I have had no eyebrows since I was very young. Some childhood memories made me realize why. So I have a problem growing hair there. I decided about 15 years ago I wanted to do Permanent make up. Shame on me for not doing my research. Had a real bad experience the first time getting it done in NJ. That lady gave me a complex and screwed up my eyebrows. So when relocating to San Diego I went to beauty school which also had permanent make up. Well my eyebrows were so bad anything was better. Believe it or not the school did WAY BETTER then the Asian lady in NJ. Years later I started working at a spa and they hands down told me about Deanna and how Awesome she was. So it took me a good year before I had the confidence to call her. I was real nervous to try another place. The First Lady really messed me up. So finally seeing Deanna she really listen to my concerns and problems. I was scared but she did a correction on me and WOW! She fixed the color and shape. She did a beautiful job on what she had to work with. She has a gift to her job. So it has been 3 years and I needed to return to her and get a touch up. I couldn't go to anyone else. So I hunted her down and found out she relocated to Orange County. She thought it was far for me since I was in San Diego. I had NO PROBLEM driving to her. I have learned my lesson don't let anyone do permanent make up. Do your research. So I went back to Deanna. It was nice to catch up with her since I hadn't seen her in a few years and she asked me overall what am I looking for this time. With doing my eyebrows 3times all ready I knew what shade I wanted and she had done such a great job with what she had to work with that I knew the color needed to go darker. So we talked and ready to go. I have a problem with the pain. So she doubled up on numbing both times. I always tell people that this hurts and I don't recommend it unless u ABSOLUTELY need it. So after my second service with Deanna she blew my expectations again. With doing my retouch up she fixed my tones and gave me a darker color and I'm soooooo happy with it. Deanna is hands down great at her job. She has past my expectations. She was able to fixed my problems and color. Her price wasn't bad at all. Knowing her work I felt I got a great deal. If I was able to give her 5 more stars I would no doubt...GO SEE HER! U won't be disappointed. Thanks Deanna! I'll see you again lady!

Finally, I can wear my hair short again!
A few years ago, with great BLUNDER, I decided to get hair transplant. The aftermath, was a nasty scar in the back of my head. So, I decided to contact the AOPM for a free consultation. I wanted the scar disappear...so, I decided to get a permanant tattoo over it. I spoke with Deanna and felt very comfortable with her. When I met with Deanna, she explained the procedure thoroughly; Additionally, she was very professional and sweet. The procedure was very short and INEXPENSIVE! It has been a week and i can't see the scar anymore. I am so happy with the job she has done that I highly recommend her work to any gentleman who is in the same situation. You don't have to wear hats on a daily basis! THANK YOU DEANNA.

Deanna does great work! She is professional, talented and knows what she's doing! She has a great follow up program and is in regular communication to be sure the results are perfect. I highly recommend Deanna/Artistry of Permanent Makeup.

Well, this is an easy review! I drove all the way from San Diego County for Deanna. I had permanent makeup on my lips about 10 years ago, in San Diego, and although I liked it, it didn't really "take" 100% and had a very slight blue tinge. This time, I researched, mostly through Yelp and then, website "before and after" pictures for Orange County and San Diego permanent makeup artists. Deanna won that test hands down! Look at her website before and after pics! So, although she encouraged an initial consultation, I preferred sending her before and after pics, and we came up with a very "fair" price on the phone for my eyebrows, liner, and lips. She was very easy to communicate with and was honest, thorough and upfront with her policies, her procedures and her aftercare. Now, the important part:: she did a fantastic job! I have never worn much makeup, so I wanted a very "natural" look, but one that rejuvenated my appearance (I am in my mid-50's), and one where I wouldn't have to wear any other make-up except maybe some foundation/bronzer. Well, within a week, after all the swelling was down, I received TONS of compliments, mostly people not knowing what was different, but that I looked really great! Deanna is an absolute professional and made sure at both of my visits (you receive a complimentary "touch up") that you get what you want, with her recommendations as you want them, and that you are HAPPY with the results. She gives you plenty of her time, and she also happens to be very personable interesting, warm, and very easy to be with (we spent a long time together for 3 areas!). She made sure I was comfortable, and never begrudged extra time for more topical anesthesia. Well, I could go on and on, but Deanna is great, and I couldn't recommend her more highly!

After seeing Deanna's before and after pictures of eyebrows I was pretty confident I had picked the right person, but now I AM POSITIVE. At the early age of 27 my eyebrows were practically nonexistent after over-plucking in my teens. Every day I was drawing in full eyebrows and terrified to go in the ocean or camping with friends in fear they would see my real brow, or lack there of. Deanna changed my life. She was so kind and understanding when we met and she assured me that her permanent makeup would change my life. It did. The procedure was painless and she designed a brow shape that is way better than anything I had ever penciled in. I am blonde so I was very concerned about the permanent makeup looking believable. To my delight, my eyebrows look completely natural and I get compliments on the shape of my eyebrows on a weekly basis. I will never have to pencil in my makeup again and I am so grateful. Deanna really is a miracle worker as far as I am concerned! Feel free to ask her for my before and after pictures to see for yourself. I recommend Deanna to everyone, she truly is an artist with a heart of gold!

I recently had permanent eyeliner, lip liner and brows done by Deanna and I can't tell you how it has changes my life! I no longer look washed out when I wake up each morning. The best part is how natural it looks. The color of my brows are perfect and so is the shape. I am very active, and always like to look my best. Now I no longer worry about my makeup sweating off. I look great all the time and I LOVE IT!

Deanna is a professional who offers excellent service with great attention to detail. Having lost most of my eyebrow hair after chemotherapy, Deanna gave me beautifully shaped, natural-looking eyebrows in perfect proportion to my face and the color is perfect. I highly recommend her services.

After having a terrible experience with an eyebrow enhancement, I did some research and ultimately ended up seeing Deanna, of Art. of Perm. Makeup. We sat down and discussed what needed to be done to correct my eyebrows. My eyebrows were crooked, and looked like they had been drawn on with a dark Crayola.....it would be a multi-step process to undo all of this, but I was more than ready to begin. Deanna outlined all the steps needed to complete this process, the shape and color that was right for me, and the timeline for all. I am so happy with the results, and ended up having my eyes and lips enhanced, as well. Even if you need just a "touch up", for instance a thin area in your eyebrows, or a little color on your lips, Deanna is the person I recommend. If you are thinking about having any sort of permanent makeup applied, do not go to just anyone - I found out the hard way that the nail, hair salon, or eyebrow threading shop is not necessarily the best place to go when you want permanent makeup applied. This is an art, and not just anyone can do the precise, painstaking work which a procedure like this entails. So glad I did not give up, as the end results were worth it.
